Getting started

From zero to your first campaign with a report. Every step tells you what to do in the application and which page of this documentation to open if you want the detail.

Before you begin

The whole journey fits in an afternoon, and none of the steps blocks the others: you can create a campaign before your roster is built, or search for creators without having touched the settings. The order below is simply the one that generates the least repeated work.

Keep three things at hand so you don't have to stop halfway:

  • Your invitation to the agency. You get into Influgest through an invitation from someone on your team: look for the email with the link to activate your account. It is explained in Account and access.
  • The details of the campaign you are going to set up: brand, budget, start and end dates, and what you expect each creator to publish.
  • Your client's email address, if you want them to approve the casting and receive the report. They don't need an Influgest account: everything happens through a link.

The journey, step by step

  1. 1

Sign in and get your account ready

Activate your account from the link in the invitation, set your password and sign in. In Settings Account add your name, your job title, your time zone and the interface language. If you are going to handle client data, turn on two-step verification in SettingsSecurity. Details in Account and access.
  2. 2

Set up the agency and invite your team

Settings holds the three tabs worth reviewing before you start working for real: Branding, where you configure the agency's details and visual identity (the logos and colours used in your materials), EMV rates (the rates per impression used to calculate the value of each campaign) and Team, where Invite member sends the sign-up link to the rest of your agency. Every field is covered in the Settings reference.
  3. 3

Take a tour of the interface

Five minutes here save you half an hour later: the sidebar groups, the global search and the tabs a campaign has inside are all mapped out in The interface.
  4. 4

    Find creators in Discover

Open Discover and combine creator filters (followers, engagement, location, topic) with audience filters (country, age, gender, credibility). Hit Search and open the audience report of the profiles that fit to check their community is real and lives where you need it. Start with Searching in Discover; the full catalogue is in the filter reference.
  5. 5

    Save your candidates

When a combination of filters works, save it as a saved search so you can repeat it without rebuilding it. The profiles you like go into your roster with Add, and once they are talents of your agency you can group them into a list, the working shortlist shared with your team. If you are torn between several, compare them side by side.
  6. 6

Create the campaign and write the brief

In Campaigns, create a new one with its brand, its budget and its period (Creating a campaign). Then write the brief: objectives, requirements, deliverables and what is off limits. It is the document creators will read, so the more specific it is, the less back and forth later.
  7. 7

Propose the casting and let your client approve it

Put together a casting round with the creators you are proposing and share the public approval link. Your client opens it without an account, reviews each profile and marks them approved or rejected; you see their decision inside the campaign.
  8. 8

    Invite the approved creators

Send the email invitation to each creator. When they accept, they land in the creator portal, where they see the instructions and the deadline, upload their content proposals and mark the post as published. To talk to them without leaving the platform you have messages and email.
  9. 9

Keep the execution up to date

Move each participant through their statuses in Creators, from Brief pending to Published. Key dates and the team's shared context live in Calendar and notes.
  10. 10

    Track the publications

Every published piece shows up in Publications with its metrics, which update on their own. You don't have to collect screenshots or chase anyone for numbers.
  11. 11

    Review the reporting

Open Reporting and go through the campaign summary, the talent-by-talent performance and the audience analysis. If a number doesn't add up, the metrics reference explains where each one comes from and which ones are estimates.
  12. 12

Share the report with your client

Generate a read-only link, choosing whether it shows live data or stays frozen at the current state. Your client opens it without an account and you can revoke it whenever you want. With that, you have closed the full cycle.

Shortcuts, depending on what you need today

Not everyone starts at the beginning. If you already know what you need, go straight there:

I just want to find creators

Jump to Searching in Discover. You don't need any campaign created to search, open audience reports and save profiles as talents of your agency.

The campaign is already done and I just want to report

Create the campaign, register the participants in Creators with their agreed fee and add their publications. With that, Reporting already has everything it needs to calculate reach, engagement and EMV.

I'm building my agency's roster

Go to Your roster to understand views, columns and bulk actions, and to the talent profile to see what information Influgest keeps about each creator.

Tips for getting the first campaign right

  • Filter by audience, not just by creator. A profile with plenty of followers and low credibility gives you reach that doesn't exist. Always check credibility and the audience's country before proposing anyone.
  • Review the EMV rates before you report. EMV is calculated with your agency's rates per impression; if you change them afterwards, the report you already shared may not match the new calculation.
  • Agree the fee inside the campaign itself. Without each participant's fee, reporting cannot calculate profitability or cost per result.
  • Use the casting even with clients you trust. Put in writing who approved whom and when: it's the argument you most often avoid later.
