Account and access

Your account is personal and belongs to your agency's space. Here is how to get in for the first time, what to do if you forget your password, how to protect access with two-step verification and what the rest of the world can — and cannot — see.

How you get in the first time

You get into Influgest by invitation: someone at your agency who already has an account signs you up from SettingsTeam with Invite member. You'll get an email with a link to activate your account and set your password.

  1. 1

Ask your team for an invitation

Whoever invites you needs your email address and will pick the role you come in with. Until you activate the account, you appear in the team list with the Invited label.
  2. 2

Open the link in the email

It's the one that takes you to activate the account. If you can't find it, check your spam folder before asking for another one.
  3. 3

    Set your password

Eight characters minimum. It's the one you'll use from now on, together with your email address.
  4. 4

Sign in and complete your profile

Once inside, go to SettingsAccount to add your name, your photo, your job title, your time zone and the interface language. Every field is explained in Settings.

Signing in

The sign-in screen, Welcome back, asks you for two things: Email and Password. The eye icon in the password field shows it in plain text if you want to check what you typed. Then hit Sign in.

If your account has two-step verification turned on, we'll ask you for the second code after the password before letting you through.

If you can't get in

What you seeWhat it means
Wrong email or password. One of the two doesn't match. Check the email address (it should be the one you were invited with) and type the password again; if it keeps failing, reset it.
Confirm your email before signing in.The account exists but hasn't been activated from the link in the email yet. Open it and finish the activation.
Too many attempts. Try again in a minute. There have been too many attempts in a row and access pauses for a moment as a safety measure. Wait a minute and try again.

Recovering your password

If you can't remember it, there's no need to bother anyone on your team: the process is self-service and takes less than a minute.

  1. 1

    Click “Forgot your password?”

It sits below the sign-in form and opens the Recover password screen.
  2. 2

    Type your email and send

Enter the email you sign in with and hit Send link. We'll send you a message with the link to reset it.
  3. 3

    Set the new password

The link opens Set a new password: type it twice — eight characters minimum, and they have to match — and hit Change password.
  4. 4

    You're in

Once you change it you go straight into the application, without passing through the sign-in screen again.

Changing it without having forgotten it

If you just want to refresh it, do it from inside: SettingsSecurity Change password. It will ask for your current password before accepting the new one.

Two-step verification

It adds a second code to the sign-in, so knowing your password isn't enough to get into your account. It's strongly recommended if you handle client data and budgets. You set it up in Settings SecurityTwo-factor authentication.

The two available methods

  • Authenticator app: an app on your phone or your password manager that generates a six-digit code that changes every few seconds. This is the recommended method, because it works without signal and doesn't depend on a message arriving.
  • Code by SMS: we send the code to the phone number you register.

Turning on an authenticator app

  1. 1

    Click “Add app (TOTP)”

In SettingsSecurity. A QR code appears on screen.
  2. 2

    Scan it with your app

Any authenticator app will do. If you can't scan the QR code, the screen offers you a key to enter by hand.
  3. 3

    Confirm with the code

Type the 6-digit code your app shows and hit Verify and activate. From then on the method appears in the list with the Active label.

Turning on the code by SMS

  1. 1

    Click “Add SMS”

Enter your phone number in international format, with the country code (for example, +34612345678).
  2. 2

    Ask for the code

Hit Send SMS and wait for the message.
  3. 3

    Confirm

Type the code you received to leave the method activated.

How it behaves when you sign in

With verification on, the Two-step verification screen appears after the password: enter the code and hit Verify. Until you do, no screen in the application opens.

You can have both methods at once. In that case we'll ask for the authenticator app one by default, since it's instant and doesn't use up messages. Every active method can be removed from that same Security screen.

Your account within the team

Everyone at your agency has their own account, with their own role. Your role is set in the invitation you receive; you can see it, but you can't change it from your profile. What each role means is explained in Settings.

Your email address is the identifier you sign in with, so it can't be modified from SettingsAccount: the field is read-only. If you need to change it, write to info@influgest.com.

To leave, open your avatar in the top bar and click Sign out. It's what you should always do on a shared computer.

Your data and your agency's

Influgest works by agency: each one works in its own space. One agency's data is never shared with any other. Your talents, your campaigns, your lists, your saved searches, your reports and your conversations are only visible to the people on your team.

That isolation doesn't depend on what the interface shows or hides: it's applied every time data is requested, for anyone and from any screen. And team invitations add each person to their own agency's space and nowhere else.

The only information that leaves that space is what you decide to share, always explicitly and always limited to what was shared: the casting approval link, the campaign invitation, the creator portal and the shared report. Whoever opens one of those links sees only that, never the rest of your agency, and you can revoke them.
