Sharing the report
A private, read-only link with the campaign results. Your client opens it and sees the report: no account, no password, no 40 MB presentation attached to an email.
Creating the link
You do it from the campaign’s Reporting tab, in the Share menu → Shareable link → Create a new link.
- 1
Personalise it
Give it aTitleand upload aLogo—both optional. They both appear in the header of what the recipient sees, so this is where you put the client’s branding if you want the report to feel like theirs. - 2
Decide whether it updates or freezes
TheSnapshotswitch is the important choice. We explain it right below. - 3
Choose what is visible
Tick theKPIsand theSectionsyou want to show. Whatever you leave unticked does not travel. - 4
Set an expiry if you need one
AnExpiration date, orNo expirationif you would rather it stayed alive. - 5
Copy and send
Once created you will seeLink createdand aCopy linkbutton. It is stored underPreviously created links, so it does not matter if you lose it.
Live or snapshot
This is the difference worth understanding before you hit create, because it decides what your client will see in two weeks’ time.
| Link type | How it behaves | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
Live | Always shows the campaign’s current data. If tracking detects new posts or views go up, the client sees it when they reload. You get it by switching off Snapshot. | Campaigns in flight, when you want the client to follow results without asking you for a report every Monday. |
Snapshot | Freezes the data at the moment you create the link. The client will always see the report exactly as it was, even if you carry on working the campaign. | Campaign wrap-ups, contractual deliveries and any figure that is going to be quoted in an invoice or a meeting. |
What can and cannot be shown
Selectable KPIs
Under KPIs you choose which of these cards appear: EMV, Budget, Spent, Talents, Posts, Reach, Impressions, Views, Engagement and CPM. What each one means is in Metrics and calculations.
Note that Budget and Spent are campaign-wide financial figures: only show them if your relationship with that client allows for it.
Selectable sections
Under Sections you decide which blocks are included. Available today are Overview —KPI cards, evolution charts, breakdown by platform and top creators— and Performance, the per-talent table.
Audience, Conversion and Content sections appear as Soon: they cannot be included in a shared link yet. What never reaches the client
There are two pieces of data that never travel to the link, no matter what you tick:
- The rates agreed with each creator. What you pay each talent is your agency’s information and it does not appear in the performance table of the shared report.
- ROI per talent. Since it is worked out by comparing EMV against the rate, it would let anyone deduce that rate: it is left out too.
On top of that, the talent list in the report is not clickable: from the link nobody can navigate into your account or see profiles, lists or other campaigns.
Managing the links you have created
The Previously created links panel lists every link you have generated for that campaign. For each one you see:
| What you see | What it is for |
|---|---|
A Live or Snapshot label | Knowing at a glance whether that particular link follows current data or has it frozen. |
| Views | The counter of how many times it has been opened. Useful for checking whether the client actually looked at it before the meeting. |
| Expiry | Expires on {date} or No expiration, depending on what you chose when you created it. |
Copy link | Getting the address back to send it again, without generating a new link. |
Revoke | Switching it off. It stops working immediately for whoever holds it, even if it had not expired yet. |
An expired link shows whoever opens it a notice saying it is no longer active and that they should ask their agency for a new one; a revoked one says the link does not exist or has been revoked. In neither case is any campaign data visible.
What your client sees
A read-only page, with no sign-in: a header with the logo and title you chose, the campaign name and the date range, plus the KPI cards and the sections you ticked. If the link is live, it says so with Up-to-date data.
They cannot edit anything, or comment, or get into your account. Only look. Their only trace is adding one visit to your counter.
