Searching in Discover

Discover is Influgest's creator search engine: it combines filters about the creator and about their audience, with verified data from our data provider, and opens each profile's full report without leaving the app.

What Discover is

Discover helps you find creators by filtering on two dimensions at once: what the creator is like (followers, engagement, location, topic…) and what their audience is like (country, age, gender, credibility). Instagram is always available; TikTok and YouTube show up if your agency has them enabled. From the results you can open each profile's audience report, save it as talent in your agency, add it to a campaign, look for similar profiles or compare it with other creators.

Open it from the sidebar, under Discover. The platform switcher above the filters only appears if your agency has more than one network enabled; switching platform resets the filters and the results, because each network has its own catalogue of filters (the details are in the filter reference).

Discover with the filter panel open. Every result shows the creator's key figures, and you can switch between grid and list view from the top right.

The two search modes

Above the filter panel there are two tabs that change the starting point of your search. Both return the same kind of results.

Search: by filters

The classic mode: you pick values from the filter catalogue and press Search. The essential filters are always in sight (Followers, Bio or full name, Gender, Engagement rate, Location, Account, Interests) and the rest are grouped into sections. The View all filters button opens a wide panel with all of them at once, split into Quick and Advanced filters; its footer tells you how many filters are active and offers Search and Clear filters.

AI Search: in natural language

On the AI Search tab you describe the creator you are looking for in your own words in the Describe in natural language box (for example, lifestyle creator posting fashion and beauty content). The interface says so itself: results are better if you write in English. Below it you have a subset of filters to refine the description: followers, engagement rate, location, brands, gender, age, language, Email available, Only active creators (≤30 days), Fake followers (max), account type, Verified only and Has sponsored posts.

Finding a specific profile by name

If you already know who you are looking for, you don't need filters: the Search by @username or name… bar finds the profile directly. The dropdown shows the matches with their avatar and follower count, plus a Recent history with your last ten searches, which you can delete one by one or all at once with Clear. Picking a profile adds it to the results grid without using up a filter search.

Before your first search, the results area shows the Find your next creator empty state and, under the username bar, featured creators from your own agency may appear, at no cost at all.

  1. 1

Set your filters or write your description

Touching a filter does not trigger anything yet: you can combine as many as you want, at your own pace.
  2. 2

Press Search (or Search with AI)

The search is always explicit: it only runs when you press the button. That said, once it has run, changing page or sorting re-runs it automatically with the same filters.
  3. 3

    Check the results counter

You'll see N results and, when the search engine adds similar profiles, the breakdown N direct · N similar.

Reading the results

Direct versus similar

Direct results match exactly the filters you set. Similar results are lookalike profiles that the search engine adds when there are few exact matches or none at all; they are broken out in the counter and carry their own label. If nobody matches every filter, you'll see the No exact matches — showing similar pill.

Grid view and list view

You can see the results as cards in a grid or as rows in a list, using the view switcher. The preference is remembered in your browser. List view adds the Find lookalikes action, which expands profiles with a similar audience under each result.

Sorting and pagination

The Sort: selector accepts these criteria, in ascending or descending order:

CriterionPlatform
Followers (default, descending)Instagram and TikTok
Engagement rateInstagram and TikTok
Engagements (abs.)Instagram and TikTok
Reels playsInstagram
Followers growthInstagram
Views · Shares · Saves · Likes growthTikTok

Results are shown 15 at a time, with the Previous and Next buttons.

Actions on a result

  • Open the profile: one click on the card (or Quick view / View profile) opens the side panel with the creator's full report.
  • Save it to your agency: the Add button turns it into talent in your agency; if it was already there, you'll see Already in DB. After that you can manage it from your roster.
  • Take it to a campaign: + Campaign opens the Add to campaign modal with the profile's details already filled in.
  • Look for similar profiles: Find lookalikes expands profiles with a similar audience, and can also re-run the search using that profile as the reference.

Multi-select and bulk actions

Ticking several cards brings up a bottom bar with the N selected counter and three actions:

  • Add to talents: saves every selected profile to your agency in one go, with a progress indicator (Adding X/Y…).
  • Compare: opens the comparison view with the selected profiles. It only becomes active with exactly two; once inside, you can go up to four.
  • Clear selection: deselects everything.

The audience report

This is the heart of Discover: a profile's full report, with verified data from our data provider. It opens in a side panel with these tabs: Audience, Brand affinity, Popular posts, Lookalikes, Controversies and Contact, plus the Add to my agency and Open on Instagram/TikTok buttons.

Inside you'll find the make-up of the audience (countries, ages, gender), its credibility (percentage of real followers), engagement compared with accounts of a similar size, the brands the creator has worked with and their most popular posts. What each number means exactly is covered in Metrics and calculations.

Not every profile has an audience report available: for small or rarely analysed accounts the app says so and shows whatever data it does have.
