Frequently asked questions

Short answers to what gets asked the most, grouped by topic. Each one links to the page with the full detail.

Account and access

How do I get access to Influgest?
Usually by invitation: someone at your agency invites you from SettingsTeam and you get an email with a link to activate your account. The whole process is in Account and access.
I've forgotten my password, what do I do?
On the sign-in screen, hit Forgot your password?, type your email and follow the link we send you to set a new one of at least eight characters. You're signed straight in when you're done.
What two-step verification methods are there?
Two: an authenticator app and a code by SMS. You can have both on; if you do, you'll be asked for the app one first. Email is not a two-step verification method. You turn them on in Settings, under the Security tab.
Can I change the email I sign in with?
Not from the app: the email field in Settings Account is read-only. Write to us at info@influgest.com if you need to change it.
What languages is Influgest in, and does it have a dark mode?
It's in Spanish, English and Italian, and yes, it has a dark mode, with three intensities, six colour tones and two interface styles. It's all chosen in Settings and saved on your device: every team member can see it their own way without affecting anyone else.
Can other agencies see my data?
No. Each agency works in its own space and its data is isolated: your talent, campaigns, lists, reports and conversations are only visible to the members of your team.

Discovering creators

Does searching for creators use anything up?
Every search counts towards your account's limit. Opening the full report of a new profile may also consume a data credit; profiles you've already looked up open again at no cost. The interface always warns you before spending. See Searching in Discover.
What are “similar” results?
Profiles close to what you asked for that the search adds when there are few exact matches, or none. Direct results meet all your filters; similar ones are called out in the counter and with a label of their own.
I type two words in the bio filter and nobody comes up, is that a bug?
No: that filter requires all the words to appear in the creator's bio or name, so every extra word cuts the results down sharply. Try one word and only add more if you have too many profiles. Every behaviour like this is in the filter reference.
Why does a profile have no audience report?
Not every profile has one: for small or rarely analysed accounts our data provider has no analysis available. The app tells you and shows you what it does have instead of making up the rest.
How do I move a creator from Discover into my roster?
With the Add button on the result card, or by selecting several and using Add to talents. From then on you manage them from your roster. It's also the mandatory first step before putting them in a list: lists only take talent from your agency, so there's no way to save a creator to a list straight from Discover.

Campaigns

Which fields are required to create a campaign?
Only the name. The brand, the dates, the budget and the creators can all be added later, once you have them. See Creating a campaign.
How does Influgest detect my creators' publications?
Through the hashtags and mentions you've defined in the brief. Tracking checks several times a day and you can also force a pass with Refresh. If a piece doesn't show up, you can add it by hand from Publications.
Can I move a creator to any status on the board?
No: the flow has an order and not every transition is allowed. If you drop a card in a column that isn't allowed, it goes back to its place with a notice. The eleven statuses are explained in Creators and statuses.
Is casting mandatory?
No. If your client doesn't need to approve the selection, you can move a creator straight to Participating. Casting is a tool for when that validation is needed.
Can I get an archived campaign back?
Yes. Archiving only takes it out of the active list; the campaign and all its data are still there and you can bring it back whenever you want.

Metrics and reports

What exactly is EMV?
An estimate, in euros, of what it would have cost to buy in advertising the visibility the content generated. It isn't money earned or a direct return. How it's calculated is in Metrics and calculations.
Why are reach and impressions estimates?
Because the social networks don't publish that data: only the account owner sees it in their private insights. What is public is views, and reach and impressions are estimated from them using standard industry factors. Always present them to your client as estimates.
Can I change the rates EMV is calculated with?
Yes. In Settings EMV rates you can override the rate for any network and format combination, and restore the benchmark value whenever you want. Careful: if a combination is left without a rate, those publications add zero.
Does my client see what I pay each creator?
No. Agreed rates and ROI are internal agency data and never appear in a shared report. In castings, hiding the rate and the follower count is an option you control when you create them.

Creators and communication

Does the creator need an Influgest account?
No. Both the campaign invitation and the portal where they upload content work through a private link; in the portal all they're asked for is to confirm the email you sent it to.
How do I find out that a creator has uploaded a proposal?
You get an automatic email as soon as they send it, and the piece moves to the To be approved status. The creator gets another notification when you approve their proposal or ask for changes.
Which mailboxes can I connect?
Google and Microsoft accounts, one at a time. You connect it from Settings Integrations, and from then on you write and receive from Emails.
Can I attach files to emails and direct messages?
In email, yes: you can attach files when sending and download whatever comes in. In Instagram direct messages, text only for now.

Before writing to us, check whether what you're after is in Availability: it may be a feature that's still being built, which is why you can't find it. If that isn't the case, write to us at info@influgest.com.
